Shenzhen confirms 1 more COVID-19 case

On April 3, Shenzhen confirmed 1 more imported COVID-19 case. As of 24:00 of April 3, the city had confirmed a total of 453 cases.

Case 35 is a 22-year-old male student of Chinese nationality returning to China from the United Kingdom. He flew from Manchester to Zurich, Switzerland on flight LX381 on March 17, then boarded flight LX160 to Tokyo, Japan, and then took flight NH933 to Guangzhou. On March 19, he entered the Chinese mainland via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. His health status information declared upon entry showed no abnormalities, and he was later sent to a designated quarantine point in Shenzhen by a designated vehicle. His preliminary nucleic acid test result released on April 2 was positive, and on the same day he reported showing symptoms of mild sore throat and coughing. The reviewed result released by Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention on April 3 was also positive, and he was confirmed of COVID-19 infection after a group consultation of medical experts on the same day.

The patient has been transferred to Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital for treatment. Preliminary tracing results show that no person on the Chinese mainland has had close contact with the patient.

Domestic cases

No new domestic case was confirmed on April 3. The number of domestic cases confirmed in the city remains at 418.

Imported cases

1 new imported case was confirmed on April 3, bringing the number of imported cases confirmed in the city to 35.

Asymptomatic cases

3 new asymptomatic cases were reported on April 3. Currently, 20 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation, among which 11 are from outside the Chinese mainland.

Of the confirmed cases, 222 are male and 231 are female.

So far, 419 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery, and 3 deaths have been reported.

All the 31 patients are being treated at Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital. 473 persons in close contact with the patients are under medical observation.

　　男，22岁，中国籍，由英国留学返回，

　　3月17日，从英国曼切斯特乘坐飞机经瑞士苏黎世（航班号LX381）转日本东京（航班号LX160）前往中国广州（航班号NH933）。19日，经广州白云机场入境，入境健康申报无异常，后由专车送至深圳隔离。

　　4月2日，新冠肺炎病毒核酸初筛阳性，患者自述当天出现轻微咽痛、咳嗽。3日，深圳市疾控中心复核为阳性，经专家会诊，确诊为新冠肺炎。

　　患者已转到深圳市第三人民医院隔离治疗。初步判定，中国内地无密接者。

　　【境内病例】：当日无新增病例，累计报告境内病例418例。

　　【境外输入】：当日新增1例，累计报告境外输入病例35例。

　　【无症状感染者】：当日新增3例，全市尚在医学观察的无症状感染者20例，其中境外输入11例。

　　累计报告确诊病例中，男性222例、女性231例。

　　目前，死亡3例，累计出院419例。31例确诊病例均在深圳市第三人民医院隔离治疗。

　　473密切接触者正在接受医学观察。
