Shenzhen confirms 1 more imported COVID-19 case with total cases in the city rising to 450

Shenzhen confirmed 1 new imported COVID-19 case on March 30, adding the number of imported cases in the city to 33, according to the latest figures released by Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission today.

Case 33 is a 21-year-old female student returning to China from the United Kingdom. She reported that she had been to the United States recently and returned to the United Kingdom on March 7. On March 11, she began to develop symptoms including coughing and runny nose, but did not seek medical advice. On March 15, she flew from London to Hong Kong on flight CX254, then on March 16, she entered the Chinese mainland via Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint. Upon entry she reported she had coughing. She was sent to hospital by a negative pressure ambulance on March 17, and her preliminary nucleic acid test result released on the same day was negative. She was later sent to a designated quarantine point for further observation by a designated vehicle. Her second nucleic acid test result released on March 29 was presumptive positive, and the reviewed result released by Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention on March 30 was positive. She was confirmed of COVID-19 infection after agroup consultation of medical experts on the same day.

The patient has been transferred to Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital for treatment. Primary tracing results show that no person on the Chinese mainland has had close contact with the patient.

As of March 30, Shenzhen had confirmed a total of 450 COVID-19 cases. Of the confirmed cases, 220 are male and 230 are female.

So far, 416 patients have been discharged from hospital, and 3 deaths have been reported.

All the 31 patients are being treated at Shenzhen No. 3 People's Hospital. 395 persons in close contact with the patients are under medical observation.

　　患者自述近期曾前往美国，3月7日返回英国，11日起出现咳嗽、流涕等症状，但未就诊。15日，从英国伦敦乘坐CX254航班飞往中国香港。16日，抵达香港后经深圳湾口岸入境，入境时自主申报有咳嗽症状。17日，由120负压救护车送医，当天新冠病毒核酸初筛阴性，随后由专车送往隔离观察。29日，新冠病毒核酸再次检测结果为可疑阳性。30日，深圳市疾控中心复核为阳性，经专家会诊，确诊为新冠肺炎。

　　目前患者已转到深圳市第三人民医院隔离治疗。初步判定，中国内地无密接者。

　　截至3月30日24时，深圳累计报告“新冠肺炎”病例450例。3月30日当天新增1例。

　　累计报告确诊病例中，男性220例、女性230例。

　　目前，死亡3例，累计出院416例。

　　31例确诊病例均在深圳市第三人民医院隔离治疗。

　　395名密切接触者正在接受医学观察。
