City reports one asymptomatic COVID-19 case

On Aug. 19, Shenzhen reported one asymptomatic case of COVID-19.

The patient, a 52-year-old female surnamed Wei who lives in Luohu District, is the mother and a close contact of the male asymptomatic patient the city reported on Aug. 14. She was diagnosed as an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient based on her reviewed nucleic acid test result released by the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a consultation of medical experts from the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen. She has been sent to the hospital and is now in a stable condition.

Five close contacts of Wei have been identified in the preliminary tracing of her daily activities and have been under collective quarantine since being identified as close contacts of Wei’s son. They all tested negative for COVID-19.

The three asymptomatic patients the city reported in August are now all under quarantine in the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen.

As of midnight of Aug. 19, the city had reported a total of 465 confirmed cases. Currently, three patients are in hospital for treatment.

　　魏某，女，52岁，居住在罗湖，为8月14日发现的男性无症状感染者的母亲，也是密切接触者之一。经市疾控中心复核和市三医院专家组会诊，诊断为无症状感染者，现已转送至市三医院接受隔离医学观察，情况稳定。

　　经初步排查，魏某有5名密切接触者，此前已作为男性无症状感染者的密切接触者接受集中隔离，核酸检测结果均为阴性。

　　至此，深圳市共排查出3名无症状感染者，均已在市三医院接受隔离医学观察。

　　截至8月19日24时，深圳市累计报告新冠肺炎确诊病例465例。目前在院3例。
