City reports one imported confirmed COVID-19 case

On Jan. 1, Shenzhen reported one imported confirmed case and five imported asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.

The confirmed case, a male of Chinese nationality, came to Shenzhen from the United States. He was quarantined upon entry and was later sent to the emergency ward of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. He was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (normal type) based on consultations by a panel of medical experts that factored in his epidemiological investigations, clinical symptoms and CT screening results. Currently, the patient is in stable condition.

The asymptomatic cases, four males and a female of Chinese nationality, came to Shenzhen from South Africa and Lesotho respectively. They were quarantined upon entry and were later sent to the emergency wards of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, all of them are in stable condition.

　　该境外输入确诊病例为男性，中国籍，从美国抵深。入境后即被集中隔离，后转至深圳市第三人民医院应急院区观察治疗，经专家组会诊，结合流行病学调查、临床症状和CT检测结果，判定为新冠肺炎病例（普通型），目前情况稳定。

　　此外，5例境外输入无症状感染者均为中国籍，其中男性4人，女性1人，分别从南非、莱索托抵深。入境后即被集中隔离，后转至深圳市第三人民医院应急院区观察治疗，目前情况稳定。
