City reports 2 local confirmed COVID-19 cases

On Jan. 7, Shenzhen reported two local confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The first confirmed case, who shows mild symptoms of COVID-19, is a 29-year-old male working for a company at the Guowei Business Building in Liantang Subdistrict, Luohu District and living in the Dongxinling Residence in Buji Community, Buji Subdistrict, Longgang District.

The second confirmed case, who shows standard symptoms of COVID-19,is a 29-year-old female and is the wife of the first case. She works for a company in the Shenzhou Computer Building in the Bei’er Road area in Bantian Subdistrict, Longgang District and lives together with her husband in Buji.

The two cases have been transferred to the emergency wards of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment.Currently, the patients are in stable condition.
