City reports 18 new local COVID infections

Shenzhen reported a total of 18 new local COVID-19 infections yesterday, with nine of them found among close contacts of COVID patients reported since Feb.15 and the remaining nine detected during nucleic acid testing in key areas.

Among the 18 new COVID patients, nine were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections, while the other nine were all confirmed mild cases of COVID-19.

Three of the new COVID patients live in Building 12 of Shiyuncun housing compound (石云村) in Shekou Subdistrict, Nanshan District.

Five live in Shangshadongcun housing estate (上沙东村) in Shatou Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in Weizaixi housing estate (围仔西) in Shekou Subdistrict, Nanshan District.

One lives in UDC City Center (华联城市中心) in Nanshan Subdistrict, Nanshan District.

One lives at No.3207 Binhe Boulevard in Futian Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in Airong Garden housing compound (爱榕园) in Zhaoshang Subdistrict, Nanshan District.

One lives in Shuiwei urban village in Futian Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in Vanke City Garden (万科城市花园) in Lianhua Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in Fuan Building (福安大厦) in Shatou Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in No.2 Milan Apartment (米兰第2季) in Shekou Subdistrict, Nanshan District.

One lives in Jinheyuan housing compound (锦河苑) in Shatou Subdistrict, Futian District.

One lives in Xiasha urban village in Shatou Subdistrict, Futian District.

In addition, a total of 26 imported confirmed cases and eight imported asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 were also reported yesterday.

Among the 26 imported confirmed patients, one was from South Korea and the remaining 25 were from Hong Kong. The eight imported asymptomatic cases were also from Hong Kong.

The patients were put under closed-loop management upon arrival and were later sent to the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, they are in stable condition.
