SZ reports 11 new local COVID-19 cases

Shenzhen reported 11 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases yesterday, including two asymptomatic infections.

Four of the new cases were found among centrally quarantined close contacts of COVID patients reported earlier in the city,while the other seven were detected during the routine COVID-19 tests in key areas.

All of the new local patients have been transferred to the emergency wards of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. They are all in stable condition.

The authorities are tracking all close contacts and secondary close contacts of the patients, and those who have been identified have been placed under centralized quarantine.

Residents are reminded to take good precaution measures including wearing a face mask, washing hands frequently, maintaining good ventilation and observing social distancing.
